Description:
Cacao beans, the primary ingredient in chocolate making, come from the Theobroma cacao tree. They grow inside pods surrounded by a fleshy pulp known as baba. Raw cacao beans are crushed into a liquid, which quickly solidifies at room temperature resulting in cacao paste. Depending on the type of chocolate you wish to obtain, several ingredients are added to this paste.
