Discover our bitter almond flavour
Description:
Usually, the terms “bitter almond” may refer to a certain type of bitter almonds or to the seeds of stone fruits like apricot, cherry or peach. While bitter almonds may not be suitable for consumption due to their cyanide content, bitter almond flavour is commonly used in bakery and liqueurs.
Our bitter almond flavour has a smooth profile with notes of vanilla and orange blossom. A few drops are sufficient to add all the intensity of bitter almond to your different sweet creations.
Food-grade bitter almond extract does not contain amygdalin, which is hydrolyzed in the human body and releases cyanide. Hence, it is perfectly safe to use our bitter almond flavour.
